(I'm picking $70,000 because it still leaves room for some crazy-yet-practical things like the Hennessey Velociraptor)
Fictional scenario: The Car Gods decide to bestow upon you any car you'd like, but it has to be worth at least $70,000. You don't have to pay, the Car Gods do. (It can also be a truck, SUV, wagon, anything with 4 wheels [or 3! haha])
You have to drive it for at least 3 years, as your ONLY car. It is the only car you will be driving for those 3 years. If you try to borrow someone else's car, it magically turns into the one you received from the Car Gods.
During this time, if the car you selected inconveniences you, leaves you stranded, makes your regular life impossible, or you scrape it/crash it/whatever, you have to PAY the Car Gods the car's value. (So in other words, if you're a professional lumberjack, maybe pick a G-Wagen 6x6 instead of a Zonda.)
What would you choose Oppo? What is crazy but not so crazy that it would mess up your life?

I agree for the most part given the AWD, large trunk, 2+2.
Have you been around one IRL? Is it really low/steep angle/would it scrape a lot on driveways and entrances?
Also, are they considered reliable if you don't track them? Just DD duties? I have no idea if the transmission people issues describe are just early models, or hard-driven models, or what...

Potentially dumb question: It's $70,000 at least, and then the sky's the limit, so why not go for an AMG S-Class or an RS7? Just curious if there's an advantage with the lower models.

Yes! I've heard these have really good scrape guards, and that in the UK, these are regarded as the ultimate fast grocery-getters because of the large trunk.

I'll never have $70,000 for a car in my life, so I can't even imagine this scenario. But if I had to take a stab, I'd go with something like an Audi RS 5.

Cool cars to be sure, but isn't the AMG-GT so new that we don't really know anything about it yet in terms of how practical it would be? Proportion-wise though it seems similar to an F-Type so maybe it's not that big a deal.
On that note, doesn't the R8 have a very, very small trunk in the front? Another Oppo post just showed it had room for a helmet and a tank of gas, and that was like it.
So the Porsche seems quite temping here.

The Porsche barely has a roof. Fuck it! I'm not in it for the practicality. It's not like I have a family or work at a construction site.

McLaren 675LT. It has enough space in the frunk for groceries and such or to haul my usual traveling gear with me, Plus I'm still in college and don't have kids and already drive basically a 2 seater RWD car as my daily so really not much of a difference, I actually think the McLaren would be easier to live with.

If renting a truck from the home improvement store is disallowed then a Land Cruiser, if it is allowed an S-class coupe (or whatever they're calling them these days).

I was thinking either one of these, an F type V6 S, M6 gran coupe or 911 GTS for new. If used I'd probably go Aston DBS or V12. I'd really love a 599 with a stick. If I can only have one car it has to be a stick and have reasonable storage.

Not to be "that guy," but AFAIK, "Sono finito" would actually mean "I am finished" in the "I have just lost a sword battle and am bleeding to death" sort of way.
The regular "I'm done" is "Ho finito."
